About this atlas

PA Lake Rules Atlas answers one question for inland Pennsylvania lakes: can my boat and motor go on this lake, and what do I need?

Independent

We are an independent website operated by WeldonPC (Ohio), 5829 Turney Road, Garfield Heights, OH 44125. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Why it exists

The rules for one lake can sit in four places — a county section of the Code, a state park posting, the Commission-lake rule and a statewide electric-motor rule — and they change. We put them on one page, quoted and dated.

How we work

We only state what a cited source says, never guessing a rule from a lake's size, owner or neighbours. Every fact shows the date we verified it and the date a machine last re-checked the official text; when the text changes, the lake turns grey until it is re-verified. The full method, our principles and every source are on Data & methodology.

The icons

The orange circle, diamond and square icons are illustrative, inspired by the shapes of regulatory markers boaters see on the water. They are not agency signs or seals.

AI assistance

Compiled with AI assistance; every rule is quoted from the official text and machine-checked against it.

Money

The site is free to read. It is paid for by an optional printable edition, a personal report and clearly labelled sponsored listings. Sponsors never write or review the rules.
